Hi I have mastitis - started very suddenly on Thursday with some pain and by Friday my breast was still sore and started to go pink/ red so got myself to the doctors. They have prescribed me with flucloxacillin antibiotic, which I started taking last night. I'm also breastfeeding and am still feeding LB on that breast. Is it normal for my whole body to ache? My neck hurts, shoulders, arms, all of my back and all down my legs. I don't have a temperature but this is making me feel sore and weak. How long will it take for antibiotics to kick in? And how do you manage looking after a hungry and needy 6 week old when you feel so weak and rubbish?! ☹️☹️ also my breast pain seems to have gotten worse and the breast pain has spread and is hurting up to my armpit now. Have tried massage and pain relief.
