4 year old suddenly walking in-toed

Hi, on Thursday 27th, my son suddenly started walking with a limp, but no associated pain. I took him to the GP on the Friday and they said they couldn't see any signs of bruising/swelling which ruled out a break. I was told that if it continued in to Saturday, to take him to A&E.

I took him to A&E and they basically said the same as the GP, but didn't do an xray as they didn't feel it was necessary (no obvious signs of broken bones etc). I was advised that if it continued, to take him back to A&E.

It has now been a week and he is completely walking in toed with his left foot. I have asked him if he's in pain or if any part of his foot hurts, but he has said no.

I am going to take him back to A&E, but wondered if anyone else has experienced a similar thing with their children?

I am extremely worried.
