Heart attacks and high blood pressire

My mother had a massive heart attack towards the end of last year, thankfully everything was ok after having stents fitted. Her blood pressure is ridiculously high again and they have been told today to go to the gp this afternoon (by cardio rehab team at the gym). Could anyone advise why this could be? Trying not to think the worse.

Since found out BP was consistently 175/107 for most of the day.

It is definitely too high for someone who has had surgery if consistently at that level (I have had surgery and they like it to be below around 140/80). I expect they are thinking that at the very least she needs more medication and close monitoring. I am not sure whether or not it is dangerously high but hopefully someone will come along who can help.

Thanks CoperCabana for your opinion. Hopefully just a case of medication needing tweaking then perhaps...

Yeah hopefully! Hope she is ok and they get her BP sorted.
