Since October I’ve had a bad throat (not necessarily sore) slight cough, tonsils and throat red but no sign of infection so can’t warrant antibiotics. First day feeling a little better but I also get a little shaky in my voice etc being up and about a lot and generally shaky. Any ideas?

Could it be reflux? I went to my GP with a sore throat which I'd had for several weeks. My voice was often croaky for no reason. Antibiotics did nothing and I was referred to ENT, who said it was down to stomach acid. I've been on Omeprazole and Gaviscon ever since and haven't had any more problems.

clowdyweewee thankyou. I have been to ENT and had an MRI on my neck who couldn’t find anything but didn’t say anything else. I’m thinking maybe pushing to go back, although my doctors have referred me to endocrine on 4th January. I will have this checked

I thought possible thyroid - if I do a lot of exercise or have a busy day, I get heart palpitations and feel like I’m breathing faster, throat more sore/scratchy if I talk more, and generally feels scratchy when I swollow although the doctors said thyroid levels are normal
