PCOS or something else?

I have endo/PCOS and suffer from monthly pain whilst ovulating. My cycle isn't greatly reliable and wad meant to ovulate last week but not unlike my body to have been late.
Monday at 3am, I felt the most horrendous pain go across my lower abdomen. It was a hot, sharp pain from my right side. It made me vomit.
I took the strongest Nurofen I can get, pharmacy only which dulled it a little. Managed to precook Christmas dinner.
Christmas day and I couldn't wear the outfit I had bought as my stomach was so swollen- again not unusual. Couldn't eat dinner as felt so bloated. I took some more Nurofen. Thought that usually I would wake up on the third day and it would be done and dusted-if anything it was worse and DH put me to bed. Drank lots of water but couldn't face more than a sandwich.
Today I am still swollen, not as much but enough that I still can't get my usual size 14 jeans on. Have managed to eat some toast and a chicken slice.
It feels like a pulling pain, I can pee (sorry tmi) but before I do it hurts more.
I tried getting a GP appointment today but no such luck.
Last time I had these symptoms I was sent to A+E as they were concerned it was my appendix but I was forgotten whilst there for 9 hours, on a trolley with no blanket and no curtain, then got shouted at by a nurse so went home and when I woke up in the morning it had subsided again.
I don't know what to do, I'm starting to think it's not PCOS/Endo related as it's never dragged on this long. I have no other symptoms at all but I'm miserable. I have plans for NYE but close to cancelling.
Anyone had similar or could suggest any pharmacy based medicine? Getting desperate but petrified of going to the hospital as I was treated so appallingly before.
