2nd period in a month!

Hi, I'm currently having my second period this month, this has never happened before!
Im 37 and I've always had a regular periods! It's much heavier than normal and there seem to be little clots, sorry if tmi!

I'm a mum to a 2 year old whom I am still currently breastfeeding!

Obviously will be going to the doctors tomorrow but any advice until then would be greatly appreciated!

Could be the perimenopause, it can last for a very long time and a lot of women start in their late 30s. It plays havoc with periods

That exact thing happened to me a couple of months ago, I'm late 40's. I went to docs as had other peri menopausal symptoms to discuss, she sent me for a scan and I was told I had a fibroid.

I had similar and GP referred me for scan. Showed fibroids. Also did hysteroscopy to check for uterine cancer which was clear, chances are very low of this. Problems continued so had another hysteroscopy with fibroid resection and another clear cancer biopsy. Definitely see GP but likely to be something like fibroids. I was a similar age when mine started and my friend had the same so may well be an age thing.

Thank you for replies! The GP is sending me for blood tests. I think my main worry is that I won't be able to have anymore children! I thought I had a few more years left!
