For the past 2 days the bottom arch of my foot, and in between my two toes has been really sore. Today I have woken up and the skin is black?? Any one have any ideas? It's really painful and itchy. Tia

Oh dear sounds unpleasant. Mouldy infection? Are the nails ok?

Black skin? Surely you should seek proper medical opinion.

TroysMammy · 25/12/2018 21:04

It could be something vascular and you need urgent medical attention. If it's lack of blood supply you could lose your toe or more.

Yea the nails are fine. It's the skin in between my baby toe and the next one which is black. Am planning on heading to the walk in tomorrow. Google search came up with athletes foot but I didn't know that could turn your skin black?

Don't want to alarm you but look up blue toe syndrome.

Wolfiefan · 25/12/2018 21:23

You’re not diabetic are you?

golddustwomen · 25/12/2018 21:45

Just looked that up, wish I didn't Blush
Nope not diabetic. The pain in the bottom of my foot is really sore, it's got to be linked as started at the same time?

Any injury? Bruising? Swollen or hot? Definitely worth getting it checked out. Good luck tomorrow.

Wolfiefan · 26/12/2018 18:05

Hope you’re ok OP.

Thank you wolfie - all is fine! was dry/cracked skin, which is my own fault for not drying in between my toes properly after showering I think! The blackness was colour stains from my shoes!! Got some cream as the cracked skin is really sore. Thank you so much for asking.

Thank goodness! I managed to dye my feet a very alarming shade when I wore my pink sandals in the rain in the summer! Blush
