I came off the pill in Feb 2018. My cycles came straight back. During my first few periods I had pain in my back passage when doing the toilet. I would get this pain before my period actually started and it became my tell that my period was coming. I also got stabbing pains in my bum at times as well as the bowel movement pain. I then had a couple of periods with very little pain so I thought little of it. However I also noticed that throughout these cycles, at all times in the cycle, I was getting niggling pain in the my lower right pelvis that came in sort of throbs on and off. Sometimes I'd have this for days on end, on and off all day, sometimes nothing for days. The pain wasn't terrible, it was just there and annoying. Since July I have been having longer 40ish day cycles and noticing less of this pelvic pain. During one of these cycles I had 8 consecutive days of spotting and I've found in my last 3 cycles my bum pain during bowel movements is back. My most recent period was the worst I've had. For about a week before my period started, I was having abdominal period pains on and off, but my period didn't show up for a week. Once it came my pain was worse than usual and lasted an extra day beyond what it usually does. My bum was really quite sore during it and remained sore a few days after my period stopped. I also had some of the niggling pain in the lower right pelvis yesterday again. My periods are pretty light as a general rule, and the longer I've been off the pill, the shorter they are becoming, and I'm now only bleeding for 2 days each period. I've become aware recently of what endometriosis actually is and worried as I recognised I had some of the symptoms. I also think some of my symptoms don't make sense, like short light periods and my symptoms not being consistent each month. Does this sound like anyone else's experience that ended in endometriosis diagnosis?
