Immunesuppressed with cold/flu

What can my dad do to get over this cold, he’s had it 2 weeks, tried all the normal over the counter stuff, cough medicine, vicks etc is there anything else he can do or is it a case of letting it run it’s course?

Plenty of water to drink. Fresh (not processed) food, fresh air, gentle exercise, sleep.

If he is not getting better from the cold and is immunosuppressed, he should seek medical advice.

Sometimes immunosuppressant medicines can be reduced until the patient feels better - only with medical supervision of course.

There is a nasty one going round at the minute, I'm on day 14 and immunocompromised. Seems to be tailing off now with just a runny/blocked nose left!
