I'm having a big flare up of reflux/indigestion/wind.

I've been taking esomeprazole 20mg for about year but ooh doc today has switched me to 150mg 1-2 a day of ranitidine. I know the dosages aren't comparable but wondered if it's much more effective?

I’ve got on better with it than with PPIs

I’ve been prescribed it during both pregnancies- it’s very effective and starts working within about 20-30 mins.

The 1 dose is usually enough for me each day, but occasionally I’ll need the second for overnight.

Thank you. I take it 150mg is a standard dose.
