Very sore dry scalp

Anyone know of a really good shampoo that can help? It gets so sore and uncomfortable. If people are standing near me it's very noticeable too so I get a bit embarrassed about it.

I had this for years. I tried every product under the sun. In the end it turned out a non foaming shampoo did the trick. I must have been irritated by the foaming agents.

I use L'Oréal lo shampoo. It's much better for my hair and scalp than specialist scalp care products or fancy brands.

Presume you tried dandruff shampoo. If suggestion above doesn't work go to gp for diagnosis.

Sorry to hear you're suffering, I can totally relate. I get regular outbreaks, mostly on the back of my scalp but also sometimes on the top and at the sides. Most effective shampoo for me has been Jason Dandruff Relief. I buy it online as haven't noticed it on sale in the shops, although it might be. Really helps quickly with the inflamation and irritation, and reduces the scaliness and bumps. Hope it'll help you too. I just get the shampoo version, being a bloke of little hair, but they also do a 2-in-1 with conditioner.

After years of an itchy flaky scalp I tried moogoo milk shampoo, it has been brilliant. It is gentle and free of sulfates that many people have problems with. Good luck getting it sorted.
