Today my 7 month old has developed a rash which we now know it slapped cheek syndrome, I know he will be absolutely fine but I’m 13 weeks pregnant and I’ve read it can be harmful to my unborn baby :/ has anybody on here had any contact with slapped cheek during pregnancy? Did everything go okay? I’m going to call the midwife/GP in the morning but I’m quite worried right now Sad

Oh you poor thing. I had this through work. I hope Gp was helpful? There's a blood test to check if you're immune or not. If not, they check again in 4 weeks to see if you've caught it and if so they monitor baby. If you catch it you don't necessarily pass it on to baby. I hope they've been supportive.

Hi, I’ve been for a blood test today, should have the results early next week. I’m obviously worried but I’ll see what happens when I get the results. Thank you :)

It is worrying I know, been there, but the main thing is that you know about it and they're acting on it. Fingers crossed you're immune.

I wasn't with my first and there was a big outbreak at work. Extremely stressful and I had to stay off for a while after I had the test. But I never caught it.
