Hi,

need advice. Ds(now 6mnths) is due his final baby jabs this morning(delayed due to chicken pox etc etc) but he has woken with a horrid cold and cough and I am wondering if I should cancel as anyone I have spoken to have said that this is the big one with the baby jabs.

Would you cancel? Is another cuple of weeks(we are away on hols next week) going to make much of a difference?

I would think that it would be best to wait until lo is in fine form and best of health before giving jabs - coughs and colds mean that his little immune system is already under strain and you don't really want to add to that.

I'm in the same dilemmas. I would wait as, in my experience, DD2 got her 4 month jab while she had a cold. She got a high temperature for a few days, she was grizzly and I was really worried about her.
She's 7.5 months old now and on antibiotics so her 6 month jab is delayed.

I would wait if I were you. My DS has only just had his MMR (16 months) cause I kept putting it off.

He has had so may colds and been bad with teething and so has often had a temperature. Was worried if he had the injections that I wouldn't know if any illness was due to that or the cold/teething!

Also, pretty sure if they are ill they woudn't give the injections? (At least they never when my DD was little, but that was 8 years ago).
