Will try and keep this short 😣 recently been diagnosed with idiopathic intercranial hypertension. After a very stressful four weeks, ct scan etc came back clear. In the mean time though my body has started acting very weird.
Stomach pains randomly, aches and pains all over, pins and needles, constantly worrying and anxious, burping alot, itchy.I have major health anxiety after been diagnosed with kidney disease three years ago so please no horror stories. Does anyone have any idea what this could be? Iv had some bloods taken liver, kidney and inflammation i think dr said. She felt my tummy said everything was normal. I am going go back again though. Might be all caused by stress/anxiety

Skippingabeat · 11/12/2018 06:02

Have you been checked for parasites?

Hellzbellz88 · 11/12/2018 06:32

I would put it all down to anxiety. After understandably stressing like you have been doing it is very likely to be that. And if your bloods and doctor's examination were normal you can relax that it's nothing nasty. Anxiety does cause all sorts of weird symptoms.

LapinR0se · 13/12/2018 12:30

What kind of parasites??

Skippingabeat · 13/12/2018 17:12

Something as simple as tapeworm can cause these symptoms, the bloating and abdomen pain of course, but also itching because their toxins can cause an allergic reaction, and even pins and needles because they can cause vitamin deficiencies (vitB).

Sorry OP didn't mean for my reply to cause any additional anxiety just wanted to suggest something that is easy to test and treat.

Also you don't mention if you're on any medication. If you are, check if your symptoms are side effects.

Your anxiety sounds very high at the minute and that can manifest in so many different ways!

Have a bath. Relax. Be kind to yourself

Could anxiety cause all those physical symptoms? I am literally struggling every day to stop worrying. Trying to keep busy etc. Iv had more bloods done on Wednesday and all those have came back no further action aswell. I was actually hoping one of them would explain why i am feeling like this 😔

It manifests in ways we can’t control!

I experience similar symptoms with extreme stress/anxiety. I even end up with reduce vision in one eye. I can now associate the symptoms with it so am not half as scared as I used to when it happens. High anxiety, kicking off adrenalin and who knows what else will trigger your body to respond in a very hyper state hence many symptoms that seem unrelated at first thought.

flumpybear · 15/12/2018 07:22

Anxiety causes awful symptoms. I struggled when my kids were small as I was terrified of dying and them being without me. I used to be able to feel a large lump in my stomach/liver area - it was all in my head. At a pinch I might suggest asking the doctor if you've been checked did Helicobacter pylori which is a stomach bacterium some people have and others don't. It's not s problem for most people anyway who live with it unbeknownst tonthen, and is completely curable these days - used to be linked with stomach ulcers and cancer development in a few with H pylori but like I say if you're H.pylori positive a short course of drugs can get rid of it - LOADS literally millions of people are H.pylori positive though without ever having issues and it's not something to worry about

Thanku so much for replies. I didn't know anxiety could cause such physical problems. Its odd because last weekend i was fine as i had loads on and wasn't sitting thinking constantly. Will see how i go over Xmas period and if still struggling will go back to docs yet again!
