11month old having problems

Hi can anyone give me advice, my son who was born by emergency c section and spend 2 weeks in NICU, has been falling backwards and banging his head for about 2 months but today he done it 5 time in the last 2hours on the last time I was watching him and notice he eye would go up wards toward the ceiling then he would fall back and cry immediately, should I be worried

I'm sorry I have no experience but it doesn't sound ideal. Call your HV in the first instance.

I recommend seeing your GP and requesting a referral to paediatrics; I'd be concerned that these were absence seizures or drop attacks.

Quite honestly I would be trying to get an appointment with my GP today on the basis of what you have described

I don't want to sound harsh but when I read threads like this, I am genuinely baffled that people will post on MN instead of just going to the GP, especially when it sounds obvious that something is wrong.

TAKE HIM TO THE GP TODAY!

Yes it sounds like absence seizures so get an appointment

Take him to the GP for an apt today or a&e. They may want a brain scan or study for when these episodes occur. At his age he can't tell you what's going on so you need to very cautious and not wait.
