Post hysterectomy infection/ bleeding

So... had a total hysterectomy 22.11 and keyhole wounds (one is particularly bad, the other three are trying their best to catch up) started with signs of infection 01.12 (Increasing redness, pus, pain/tenderness)

Went to OOHs GP who gave me flucloxacillin. Fine. Not cured yet but getting better.

Today same gungy pinky pus that is coming from my worst infected incision has started coming out of my vagina 🤢... it's only a bit, a few drops, reminds me of the last period wipe, just a smear of it really. However since the day of the surgery I have had NO vaginal bleeding whatsoever until today, and as far as I am aware the top of my vagina has been sutured.

So the question is.... is this infection spreading to all my surgery sites? Will the flucloxacillin clear this up at the same time or do I need to go back to GP? Is this something different? Do I need a swab? 😱

Yes, that was four questions.

I did have post op bleeding at first and then coloured discharge like lochia which went on for nearly 6 weeks - but mine was a bigger op with vertical incision. I also had an infection, about 3 weeks later, internally, not on my scar. My GP did a swab, masses of different bugs, and I was on metrodiazonole (?) for 2 weeks. Felt fine in myself, but deffo an 'offensive' discharge. Embarrassingly so.

I'd get a swab as there are different anti-b's for internal/external infections. My cervix was removed and sutured, too. Until it heals, I guess there are still little gaps.

You could also ring the ward and ask for their advice.

Hope you get it sorted soon.

I had an abdominal hysterectomy over the summer and bled for 3 weeks, mainly pink stuff and mostly when I wiped. You can get nothing then a 'gush' at 2 to 3 weeks as the vaginal sutures come away. That's what the nurse told me anyway.

Ah could be that then x
