Nb: I have health anxiety

For about 20 hours I've had intermittent pain in the middle/rhs of my stomach. It's hard to describe, a low grade sharpish pain id say.

  • no diarrhoea or constipation - normal poo (sorry tmi).
  • weeing is fine
  • eating and drinking fine
  • pushing down on that part of my stomach doesn't make it hurt more or less
  • I had my appendix out 11 years ago
  • no temperature

But it's enough to now and again be caught enough to audibly "ouch". I'm 30 btw.

Do you mean belly or anatomical stomach?

housequery · 02/12/2018 01:27

I don't know. I attached a picture pointing to the area.

Does paracetamol make the pain better when it occurs?

HappyGoLuckyGo · 02/12/2018 01:30

Does it change based on movement? Can you sleep through it?

WTFIsAGleepglorp · 02/12/2018 01:37

Is your period due in about a week or so?

Rattinghat · 02/12/2018 01:52

It could be a pulled muscle, or a strained diaphragm. Have you been coughing, sneezing, hicupping or laughing a lot today?

housequery · 02/12/2018 10:38

My period is due in about 3 days but doesn't feel periody at all.

Perhaps stupidly I haven't taken painkillers yet as it comes and goes so quickly though now it's becoming a bit steadier so I've taken buscopan.

I went to the GP this morning and she felt my stomach for all of ten seconds then said because I have a (?) ear infection my stomach is making more acid. I already take esomperazole so I'm not convinced but hey.

Possible Mittelschmerz. Literal German for middle pain.

Ovulation pain.

Looks like a stomach issue to me, perhaps gastritis as you are taking omeoprazole I guess you already have got reflux or similar.

housequery · 02/12/2018 16:48

Can't be ovulation pain as I'm due on within a few days .

I don't feel ill I've just got low grade pain. (I say low grade as I'm a migraine sufferer, ive had appendicitis and two kids which, to me, are real pain).

TMI - poo remains normal, been out and about, had a roast dinner but just had to eat slowlllly.

It's just concentrated in the same space. I'd say about 3 x 50p, 2 inches above and to the right of my belly button.

I might try a wheat bag actually.

I googled. I have a stomach ulcer or gallstones.

Why did I do that?

I'm a teacher, 9 school days left, I have to go in.
