Does this look broken?

I stupidly stubbed my toe at lunchtime today, it really hurt. The bruise started to come out quite quickly. I can't bear weight on it and it's been throbbing. Hobbling on the outer side around the house. Could it broken?

yes it could.
only an x-ray can tell.
ofc you go to get seen

Bluntness100 · 01/12/2018 20:36

Yes it could be, the swelling is the giveaway.

I've broken two toes, both times by stubbing them, the truth is there was nothing they could do,they can strap it up, give you crutches, put you in a slipper thing, but basically you need to let it heal and it does so quite quickly.

I don't know if it's worth getting it checked out ?

if it is broken and doesn't grow together properly that could mean years of pain,

cheesywotnots · 01/12/2018 21:27

It could be broken, hospitals treat broken big toes.

Waiting in A&E, hope they don't think I'm being dramatic

They won't think that, don't worry, I went when I broke my toes, and it was fine, but it wasn't my big toe, it was others, and the big toe is infitinty worse. Good luck.

Waited an hour, now waiting for an X-ray

Finally home. Have a minor fracture, just got to rest it now. They didn't do anything to it. Feel like I've wasted everyone's time, even DH thinks so.

no, you didn't waste anyones time.
it's good to know that it is minor and that it will heal, and not cause you trouble down the line.

now put your feet up and let it heal!
