Dip in skull

Dd is 8. I noticed the other day that she has a dip in her skull. It is in her hairline of her forehead at the front. I’m not sure if she has always had it. It’s not sore or causing any problems. Not sure if worth a drs visit or does any one else think this is just a normal anomaly of skull shape? I know everyone’s skull is different but no one else in the family has this contour.

Does she wear hairbands or headphones or wear glasses on her head? Is it in her hair as such? I was worried about a ridge and some dips in my skull, until I figured out that since I started need glasses a few years ago I wear these on my head and the 'dips' are exactly where the glasses sit. I also have a furrow running down from hairline to my nose.

Thanks for replying seaweed. It’s actually in the line up from nose so can’t be from anything she has on her head, but it is just into hairline. Interesting that you say you have a furrow from hair to nose though. Maybe it’s just normal difference then

?persistent frontal suture (normal variant).

Thanks @Walkingthroughawall!

I've got one of those and I've always wondered.

Now I know what to put into Google, I found out what it was.

A little groove, which I can follow up and down the front of my head, from the middle of my head, down to my nose.
