High blood pressure?

I’m having a bit of a busy time at work and I just measured my blood pressure using a home electronic wrist cuff and it’s quite high (about 10am 153/83 and now 165/81). I’m usually 120/70.

I had this before during s period of stress and my BP was high for several days in a row and then went back to normal a day or so after the busy period finished.

Should I go to the dr? Not sure I have high BP all the time but how long does it take before high BP is harmful. I guess the thing to do is to think how to reduce stress which I’m not sure I need to bother my GP about. (Already on anxiety meds long term!)

I would-it's very high!

Mine is 150/100 I've been referred to hospital for a home blood pressure monitor. I would make an appointment for a check up

Yes I would, it can be very damaging to the body to have consistently high blood pressure and it's definitely worth monitoring.

Also consider cutting out smoking or dietary causes if you can or do?

I got checked recently at the Dr 3 times a weeks apart, I had high blood pressure of 150/90, they've put me straight onto medication.

They talked about a home monitor to check for a while, but because it was my optician that recommended I go (they saw little dots in the blood vessels at the back of my eyes) they put me straight onto medication.

As it appears high I would go get it checked properly by the nurse at your surgery instead of using a home kit.
