Dental scan? Wisdom tooth removal under GA

Hi, I’ve posted previous threads about my dental nightmare. Wisdom teeth need removed- long waiting list - absolute agony!

Well I’ve had my consultation eventually and they decided to remove under general due to one tooth being on a nerve, but first they want a scan on the tooth? Stupidly I didn’t ask for more information on this as i was trying to take a lot of information in, but all the consultant said was it’s to minimise nerve damage.

Does anyone know what kind of scan this is, and what happens? Also anyone had a wisdom tooth out which was on a nerve?

Thank you!
