My 8mn old niece has her operation tomorrow to remove a potentially cancerous tumour from her ovaries.

She's having keyhole surgery, but my SIL has had to give consent for a full blown operation if they go in and find it is bigger or different to what they believe (worse case scenario).

Please can all you MNetter's send good vibes for my lovely little niece and also for my BIL and SIL who are so very worried at the moment. My DS is 6 mns and I cannot begin to imagine what they are going through!

And if you could after that more good vibes for her older sister who's got her review for her ovarian cyst in 4 weeks time

Thanks

Thank you all very much. I have had a call from BIL to say she went in about 10.20 and it's should take approx 1 hour - all being well. Have'nt heard yet though - but so much going on for them. Will post more when I hear more.

Thanks again

My poor DN has had her operation and had to have an ovary removed. I am sitting here in utter shock and tears - heaven only knows how must my poor SIL and BIL be feeling?

My other DN has a cyst in the same place, but previous scans and tests show it to be of a different nature and shrinkning, so fingers crossed they wont hve to go through this a second time.

She only had to have the keyhole surgery which was a blessing, but will be kept in tonight and allowed home tomorrow if all is well.

I think it was already partially diagnosed. But from what DH has said after talking to his brother the ovary was all twisted as well.

I wont be talking to my SIL until she is at home and things are more normal, but will give an update when I do.

Sending good vibes from here for both your nieces. Poor wee mites, what an awful thing for them to have to go through.
