She does sound croaky but is out bouncy on trampoline now with d/d3 Going to be a long day. I feel I have been had by letting her stay off school.

If mine are "ill" enough to stay off school they have to rest in bed quietly until they are so bored, they can't wait to go back. Allowing a sick day to become a fun day will become a rod for your back.........

Only my opinion, but you have years of school ahead of you, so may as well set the boundaries now

I agree with 3littlefrogs. If DS says he doesn't feel well. I say fine - go back to bed - no TV, no toys - and go back to sleep/lie quietly. If he does I know he must be feeling really, really ill, but 9 times out of 10 the school uniform goes on in about 3 seconds flat!!
