Prolapse and miscarriage

I suffered a mild bladder prolapse after my first baby which worsened after my second - felt the bulge at the entrance of my vagina about 3 weeks post birth and was horrified. I could feel it all the time I was walking round as well, like a tampon falling out. Anyway, I’m a bit rubbish at keeping up with pelvic floor exercises but the prolapse has improved a bit over the last 2 years (can’t feel it most days) although I have noticed it’s more pronounced during my period then improves afterwards, which I assume must be hormonal?
I had a miscarriage last week at about 6 weeks pregnant and since then my prolapse has felt much worse. It feels like it did just after I gave birth last time. The miscarriage happened naturally (no D&C required) and my bleeding has just about stopped... I’m a bit alarmed that the prolapse suddenly feels so severe again (pretruding slightly when standing up). Is it hormonal?? Will it go back to how it was before?
My body feels broken at the moment 😞 I was expecting some worsening of the prolapse while pregnant / post birth but I only got to 6 weeks and lost it, this just feels so unfair 😔

Hi Louise856, I'm sorry to hear of your loss. I also have had a recent miscarriage, found out at 11 weeks that the pregnancy hadn't progressed past 5 weeks. I came on here looking for the same answers as you so i can't really help you. I also have a mild prolapse from my first pregnancy and it seems to have gotten worse since the miscarriage. I wasn't sure if it was hormonal, maybe relaxin levels are still increased? Or I had a D&C, I wondered if the intervention disturbed things?
I'm hoping it will get better once my body has returned to normal. I think my hormones are still all over the place, I have belly fat like I had a few months post partum and I'm really struggling to lose weight despite watching what I'm eating.
Hope things improve for you soon xx
