Had this done a few weeks ago and have follow up apt next week. Been suffering from occasional faecal incontinence so deeply embarrassing. No nasties found but have a rectocele and anal sphincter weakness. A lot now makes sense. I have questions I want to ask re my experiences/prognosis, etc.
Procedure went well and surgeon is lovely. All good.
But the nurse who chaperoned at the first apt did the pre-op checks and was a complete numpty. I asked when I coukd have the blood test results and was told only with the dr's permission due to GDPR because I might leave them on the bus. This was nonsense and sorted. Had to go back for repeat bloods because she forgot one. All got a bit excusy but they did phone and apologise and made me a v early apt because I work full time and it's a private hosp.
Was relieved she was nowhere to be seen on procedure day.
A few days after the procedure I was in Sainsburys and so was she. She was being very loud and screeched at a bloke she knew (good humouredly) but at the top of her voice. "Aaagh you fucking ponce - ha ha ha".
I have no wish for this creature to chaperone my second apt and will not be able to ask what I want to ask in front of her. I also don't want the lovely consultant to think I'm bonkers and whingy.
Is it possible to call discreetly and say I do not wish this person to chaperone my apt? I know she wasn't on duty when I saw her but she is a professional and if you live and work in your community.........
If she's at my apt, I'll ask nothing and the entire matter will remain unresolved. Or cd I say I can no longer do Tuesdays and ask the consultant to see me at the other private hospital where he consults on Thursdays.
I'm really quite upset about this.
Does anyone have any advice, particularly nurses and doctors.
