I collected mine today - a clear plastic retainer effectively for the bottom teeth but as a way to stop me clenching iykwim.

Anyway, how do I clean it?! It looks like an orthodontic retainer if that helps.

I use either Carex soap and warm water, or toothpaste and a baby toothbrush on mine. I used to have a soft upper one and ruined it by “disinfecting” it with boiling water after it fell down the back of the bathroom sink. My dentist said I would have been better with a drop of bleach in a bowl of warm water, then a good rinse.

I found mine really hard to get used to, lots of gagging and drooling. I wore it for blocks of ten, then 20, 30 etc minutes, while watching TV for the first week. The first time I wore it overnight I must have taken it out in my sleep, but it then just clicked in, and the next night I wore it right through. Now I can’t sleep without it.
