Loss of hearing in one ear

Just looking for some advice please, I had concussion around a month ago and over the last few days have had muffled hearing in one ear. I'm a little concerned it could be connected, any advice?
TIA

Hi there, sudden hearing loss can be caused by a virus that doesn’t have any other symptoms, and should be treated quickly with steroids to reduce possible inflammation in the nerve, which can prevent long term damage. Whether it is this, connected to the concussion, or another cause, I would see your GP quickly. Good luck!

Hi, thanks for your response! Going to call GP in the morning as I've not slept for more than 2 hours consecutively since it happened either so will need to do something about that anyway!

Hi dsmama, steroids prescribed today and referral for a scan to check nerves - thank you so much for the advice!
