Scared - underarm pain

Having a quiet Thursday night panic! Been having pain in my right underarm for a few weeks - sometimes a dull ache, sometimes a sharper pain. Made a doc appt then stupidly googled, now panicking it's cancer. Suffer with general anxiety linked to going through menopause (am 47) and can't seem to find my sensible head :-(

Most likely to just be a swollen lymph node. I often get them when I’m a bit run down. I’ve even had scans of them and they’ve never been anything sinister. If you’re concerned see a gp and they’ll reassure you I’m sure. It’s unlikely to be cancer - which is often completely painless.

Sorry seen you’ve already booked an appointment. Good luck.

Thank you for replying Smile will try not to think about it too much and see what doc says next week

I have that, been to breast clinic and they’re cysts.

Agree, I also get underarm pain when I'm run down or coming down with a cold. Also got really worrying pain that wouldn't go away, turned out to be my underwired bras digging in. A trip to bravissimo for a proper measurement and a new bra sorted that out. Wishing you well, spicy Flowers
