Should I be worried

Due to see my gp tomorrow but so stressed, right now. I have a mike on my back that feels quite dry. No other changes in the size/shape etc just feels a little dry. I've had a bit of an outbreak of small spots on my bavk last few days and my whole back has been itchy. I'm just so worried it will get sinister when I see the doctor tomorrow 😪
Has anyone else had similar? And if so what was the outcome?

You're worried about a bit of dry skin?

Do you have health anxiety?

MissConductUS · 14/11/2018 19:02

mike = mole?

It's the time of year my skin starts to get really dry. If the mole hasn't changed recently it's likely okay.

Mole sorry! No I'm not worried about dry skin, I'm concerned my mole is feeling dry. It's a raised mole, always has been and when i was scratching my back I felt it and it felt dry.
I am concerned that this is a change.

That's not a change that would normally indicate cancer. Have you checked the NHS page about mole checks?

SpaSushi · 14/11/2018 19:55

It might not be a mole, might be seborrheic keratosis- look like moles but dry, crusty, flaky tops. Can change shape, grow, appear as you age etc.

Thought I would let you know that I got my mole checked. It's fine she did say that because it's raised it can be like a skin tag in a sense getting caught on things. And because of that it's a little inflamed.
