Gallbladder Surgery

My husband had his gallbladder removed last Wednesday. Prior to that surgery, he had a stent placed in his pancreas due to having some small gallstones in one of the bile ducts. Since his discharge from the hospital, he still complains of severe pain to his right side. He did have to have a JP drain to the site due to severe infection to his gallbladder. Has anyone ever heard of this? Could it be due to the stent or just the fact that his gallbladder was so infected and close to rupture that the recovery is going to take longer? Also, 3 weeks prior to this surgery, my husband had an aortic valve replaced in his heart and it seems like this recovery is rougher on him than the open heart surgery. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Ring the secretary of the surgeon who did the surgery and see if they can fit him in to a clinic. Sounds like it needs reviewing to me. Could go to the GP but I’d try the hospital first (more knowledgable in the specifics!)

My husband had his gallbladder out just over a year ago and he was sore for a good few weeks he still gets some pain where his gallbladder was to this day no where as near as bad as it was when he still had it. But he wishes he never got his out..
