Not felt 'right' for a while.

Okay, so I'm laid up on settee again. My entire body just aches, it's like a pin cushion. My back is really hurting & ive never really suffered from backache, even my fingers hurt (although I'm managing to type this!). I keep getting a sore throat for what seems nearly every 3, 4 weeks. I haven't felt 'right' or 'good' for a long time.

Yesterday I had this sudden onset of the most excruciating toothache, lasted for about an hour then went after taking some ibuprofen. I had Aussie flu earlier in the year & I was really quite bad with it, to the point where I couldn't even go to work, but I don't think it's that again as I've been going to work & ive no fever & although I feel like shit & it hurts I can move around. And I also have mild tinnitus, which seems worse when I feel like this. Am I right in thinking I need to book an appt with GP? I'm mid 40's btw.

Have you had your thyroid function tested recently?

Theworldisfullofgs · 12/11/2018 19:09

Go to the GP. The Aussie flu was a particularly bad strain and it takes a long time to recover . However, I would definitely get checked out.

We have been talking about this weird 'virus' on here a lot so I guess that could be a possibility in your case too, it lingers then it seems to clear then it's back! So yes see your GP, blood tests will at least put your mind at rest.

Thank you for your replies. al2002, I haven't had thyroid function tested recently-can't temper when last tested, so that's something I could raise with the gp when o go to see her today. I spoke with my GP briefly this morning on the telephone & explained basically everything I said in my first post & she made me an appt to see another gp, I asked her if she had any ideas what it could be & she said it could be fibromyalgia, but I would need to be seen. When I've looked that up it explains exactly how I've been feeling. I'll see how the drs appt goes first & hopefully gets some answers & have a look at that virus thread too.

I would say that you need an ECG (I am not a doctor)
