I managed to friction burn my knuckles yesterday at the gym, and now there are red areas around the little wounds. I can’t tell if this is normal or not, especially since the knuckles are a frequently moved area, they burns might just be irritated.

I feel fine, not unwell. There’s no pus, but it does sting/hurt.

Have you put something like TCP on it?

BatFacedOK · 12/11/2018 13:18

Just a little graze. I'd honestly not give this a second thought. Do you have health anxiety at all?

esk1mo · 12/11/2018 14:21

thank you for the replies. i put savlon on it, and its less red today.

and yes i do have health anxiety, is it that obvious? Grin i take medication for it but it rears its ugly head every now and then.

I could show you my son's fingernail after he nearly got it torn off in rugby today. He's moaning for painkillers having pointed out how brave he was to put up with the pain all day.

TCP doesn't seem to sting at all so we're soaking the finger in it. Luckily no more rugby for another week.

@esk1mo oh totally obvious Grin I suffer myself but this wouldn't be a trigger for me hence I'm able to respond logically

Trust me, your hand won't drop off and you definitely won't get some hideous sepsis infection.
