One smelly armpit

Does anyone know why I get one smelly armpit every day? I wash, use deodorant etc and one of them smells fine but the other isn't so great. It passes the sniff test but if I wipe my hand across it I get a sort of curry-ish smell on my hand. I am overweight so take extra care but this is happening even when I haven't been exerting myself. And like I say, the other is fine, it still smells of deodorant in fact!

Any ideas?

My right pit is the same. Don't know why and it's very annoying

It's my right one too! I'm glad it's not just me but still baffled!

Ph balance might be off? Try sacylic acid after washing with a neutral and gentle non soap wash and ph test your deo.

Thanks, I'll try that

Dettol shower gel has salicylic acid in, I just bought some for £1 from pound stretcher

I think it's quite normal to have one armpit slightly sweatier than the other. Use soap to wash, rather than shower gel, and you will probably find you stay fresher for longer.

You probably use your right arm more, so you are moving it about more?

In the shower, wash your body, wash your hands, then wash your armpits last. If you use a sponge/scrubber rinse it VERY well between top and bottom, then rinse and dry it after use.

Bar soap instead of shower gel also helps x

It's my left for me - dominant side. Since I hit perimenopause. I have a few trapped nerves around that area, so probably not unrelated.
