Dizziness help!

I had a horrible dizzy spell this morning in bed, literally like I'm on a roundabout. I was laying flat on my tummy and just lifted my head up and it happened.

I've had this before and put it down to moving too quickly in bed/getting out of bed. But today's movement was very small in comparison.

Any ideas guys? I feel a bit wobbly now too. Yuk!!

Low blood pressure, labrynthitis, ear problems ... lots of things. See your gp if it is happening frequently.

If it is related to head movement/changing position it might be benign paroxysmal positional vertigo

Yeah I have a GP appointment this week so I will mention it - I'm currently under a neurologist for migraines so wondering if this could be connected?

Not a pleasant feeling that's for sure ☹️

I did google BPPV - can they do the manoeuvre in the surgery? I'm not sure if it's only intermittent dizziness that it's classed as this condition?

Mine started like this when I had labrynthitus. Go to the doctor and get treatment ASAP would be my advice. It's a viral infection of your inner ear and horrible if it develops further (I was extremely dizzy and sick non stop for 7 days +). I took sturgeron to help and I believe you can be referred the an ent specialist who move your head in a certain way to re align everything. May not be that though but good to get checked.

Hope you're better soon.

Oh that's sounds nasty! 2 mins was bad enough, I came across very hot and sweaty!

Thankyou though I will ask my GP this week about it and in the meantime hope it buggars off!!

I get this and it's been put down to low blood pressure, although I also get anxiety at times which doesn't help. My doctor advised adding more salt to my food... It really has made such a difference. Occasionally, when it's hot or I'm in a really busy place, I will feel a dizzy spell coming on. My husband either gets me a little salt sachet (the type you'd get in a cafe) or a sugary drink and that usually really helps too.

Just a quick update, the GP checked my ears last week and they are fine. She said it sounded like an episode of vertigo and to see how I go.

Today I have felt very wobbly and unsteady but I'm putting that down to having an Indian head massage last night...!!
