Can sertraline start working after 3 days?!

I started taking sertraline 3 days ago. The first day I had an horrendous headache and felt sick for most of the day. That night I couldn’t sleep. Yesterday I hardly felt ill at all and slept fine, and today I got no side effects and fingers crossed I sleep ok.

However, my mood seems to have improved from the second day. I feel less angry and irritable! I just don’t believe they work that quick! Am I imagining it?

They usually take 2-3 weeks to start to work, but if you feel things are picking up, well that's good. Do be careful though as they can make you feel worse before they get better so I wouldn't let your guard down quite yet!

I hope they work and you get better soon - I was on see tramline for a number of years and it probably saved my life!
