How long to leave this weird lumpy bit?

I have a bit of a lumpiness in my underarm/breast area for roughly two weeks. It's not very big and not immediately easy to feel, but I know it's there. It's definitely not a swollen gland, and it's not like the cyst I've had diagnosed before. It's sort of softer, less defined. I had schooling pains prior to the cyst, but nothing with this.

Any ideas on what it could be? I don't want to waste anyone's precious time by going through breast examination/X-ray again, but I know I can't ignore indefinitely. Should I give it another fortnight?

Thanks!

You should get it examined.

Get yourself to your gp. It's probably nothing, but you do need to know for sure.

flumpybear · 31/10/2018 23:44

Probably a fatty lump, but get it checked, make an appointment tomorrow and if it's gone by the time it arrives, cancel

faeriequeen · 31/10/2018 23:55

Skin tag?

whatbeshrekking · 01/11/2018 07:29

Thanks all. Not a skin tag, no. It's under my skin and bigger than that.

My surgery only gives an appointment the day you call, so I'll see if it's still there next week and if so, I'll call.

My period is due any time, so maybe it's something to do with that.

Why wait?

whatbeshrekking · 01/11/2018 08:01

I can't go today anyway. And feeling it today, it's maybe going down. I'll see how it is by Monday. I just feel like only I can feel it

Please go to your GP! Even if it’s reduced by Monday. You’re not wasting anyone’s time. If it’s breast cancer it’s best to be in the system as soon as possible. And if it’s not then that’s great!

CherryPavlova · 01/11/2018 08:34

I’d get it checked out. Likely swollen lymph nodes from a minor infection or something but you’d not want to leave something more concerning.

whatbeshrekking · 01/11/2018 13:30

Thanks all. I definitely feel it's getting smaller, which makes feel stupid for even posting, but then I'm not sure maybe I have just been prodding and poking it so much that I'm getting used to it!

Will definitely follow up on Monday if it's still there.

Did you go to see a doctor today whatbeahrekking? How did you get on?

whatbeshrekking · 05/11/2018 17:27

I didn't @SeeTwoTo I do feel likes it's almost gone and that's my period almost gone, so possibly related.Thank you for checking in on me though!

That’s good , keep an eye on it though?

whatbeshrekking · 05/11/2018 21:19

Absolutely. The cyst a few years ago shocked me into checking up regularly.
