Most of the population (sexually active) will have hpv at some point. It usually sorts itself out. Have you been put on a six month recall so they can keep an eye on any changes and treat if needed?

I had a hpv test privately and it showed negative for the main high risk and low risk. 19 altogether. It all came back together but i was on the 7th day of my period but i wasnt bleeding. But now i dont know if the hpv that was on the biopsy if it was low or high risk. Im just thinking why should i wait to get abnormal cells if its high risk and its driving me crazy. I stopped going out everything

Hi Sarha
I had abnormal cells due to hpv a few years ago. Then had very regular smears until I got the all clear.
All the best

I just cant get past it. I am only 23 and they found the hpv because of a biopsy but i just wish i never hadthe hpv. It upsets me

Go and discuss it with your GP. They can answer your questions and reassure you.

I dont have the hpv now. The gp said dont worry about it. But i feel as if it will come back and give me abnormal cells and if i dont catch it in time i might get cc

I have had cervical erosions off and on for decades and there is nothing you can do to stop yourself getting precancerous cells if thstsngoing to happen. It doesn’t happen to everyone, but so long as you attend all your routine smears you will catch anything that needs treating and will find yourself clear again.

Try not to worry yourself over something that may not ever happen. Worry about it when it does, if it’s going to! But even then I’d say don’t worry about it because it’s very treatable.
