Flu Vaccination

We have a WhatsApp group set up for the mums and dads in my daughters year group. Very handy when trying to find out information, rather Than wait to ask a teacher.

One of the mums mentioned that her daughter had come hone and told her she had had the nasal flu spray today, a vaccination which I had consented for my daughter to have.

I proceeded to ask my daughter if she had had it today and she said she told the nurse she didn't want it so they sent her back to class. She didn't have the form that the other children had been sent home to say they had received the vaccination and didn't have any sign of a bravery sticker, which other mums were saying their child had received.

I can only assume that she has not had the vaccination but I am a little annoyed because a) the teacher had not mentioned that she had not had it (nor did we know it was imminent) and
B) who lets a child decide whether they have a vaccination or not!? One that I have consented to!?

Am I right to be angry?

I will of course speak to the school tomorrow but I needed some validation that I am in the right here...

If it wasn't for someone's daughter mentioning it to her, I wouldn't have known anything

I would think they can't force a child to have it... but if she really has refused you should have been told

I think you need to speak to the school first of all to find out what happened.

It might be the children are having the vaccinations over the course of several days.
