Weird, lingering stomach issues. Can somebody diagnose me, please?

My poor kid (16) had a 24-hr vomiting bug this week (let's call this day 0). He was hospitalised for an IV drip, possibly an overreaction but we were abroad and he's a bit underweight.

Day 2, we flew home and I had an enormous, unpleasant vomiting session post-flight, triggered by me brushing the back of my tongue, after feeling queasy and having terrible vomit-burps the entire flight. Gross.

Today is day 5, I"m still not eating normally, or really at all, unable to deal with alcohol (unusual) but no more vomiting, but I've felt on the cusp a few times.

Any thoughts?

As you have been abroad I would mention it to your GP, some nasty stomach bug I guess but we are told to see the doctor if this happens after a trip abroad. Hope you feel better soon as stomach issues are quite unpleasant. Flowers

It's been pretty grim, I haven't thrown up in ten years - silver linings, I've lost 3 pounds.

I went to a neighbour's for lunch today and he served pea soup with cranberries and chestnuts floating on top. I nearly died.

Where did you go on holiday?
