I've been having headaches for as long as I can remember and never really wondered why. I also get the odd migraine, which is usually stress or menstrual related.

My mum always had them so I just figured that headaches are in my genes.

DH thinks I may be allergic to something which is triggering the headaches.

Would my GP refer me to an allergy clinic as I've read that the online ones aren't very reliable.

OP, you could be me, your post is literally my life!

I've had headaches since I was in my late teens which then turn into migraines depending on time of the month. Never been to the doctor as thought it was just in my genes, as you said, or that I would be laughed out the door. It's all come to a head in the last few weeks where I've been having awful headaches/migraine and also feeling nauseous/ dodgy tummy constantly. I've booked in with an out of hours GP tomorrow because I'm convinced I am intolerant to something. Please do the same. We shouldn't be suffering!

where are they? Both myself and DD get headaches in the forehead from sinus caused by allergies - anti histamine and steramir nasal spray and steam inhalation do tend to keep them at bay

I used to get headaches all the time caused by sinus pressure , cured it by taking a cetirizine daily and something like sinutab / Sudafed / Tesco blocked nose pills .

BaconAndAvocado · 28/10/2018 15:08

Flora how did you know it was sinus pressure, if that's not a stupid question?

What kind of headache and where is it?

I get dull thumping headaches where my head feels like its too heavy for my neck. A trip to the physio and some stretching resolves them temporarily, it due to.bad posture and my neck getting stiff.

I also get sharp pains in my temple and behind my eyes when my sinus' are blocked. Feels like its hard work keeping my eyes open and if i press the lengty of my finger along the ridge below my eye socket i feel like it relieves it. Sudafed gets rid of that headache but sinus massage helps too m.youtube.com/watch?v=ZV_CgGvrXvg

If it's not sinus related I would try an osteopath that is also cranial osteopath trained. It can just be something really tight/not quite aligned causing a constant pain.

I also get headaches at the front of my head from sinus pressure. I use antihistamines and a steroid nasal spray, along with sudofed type meds.
Mine definitely are soothed by inhaling vicks type meds. Feel worse if I bend over..the pressure builds up.
