If your DS has a high temperature despite Calpol then you need to seek medical advice asap.

belgo · 16/06/2007 16:54

How old is he?

dissle · 16/06/2007 16:55

Dont know what his temp is, dont check...he feels hot to touch.

He had croup as a baby, wonder if its a hang over from that, throat infection type thing.
He is nearly 4 now.

He is SO crabby its untrue....

Maybe give your out of hours GP a call or NHS Direct.

belgo · 16/06/2007 16:57

Phone your GP. It's still possible to get croup at age four. If has any problems breathing, take him to hospital.

dissle · 16/06/2007 16:59

Nah, no probs breathing.

Just a misery guts, having loads and loads of cuddles.

Might ring NHS help line, thanks.

I hope's feeling better soon.

belgo · 16/06/2007 17:01

the best way to get his temp down is three hourly alternation of calpol and nurofen. Strip him down to his underwear, and sponge him with a cool sponge. Give him plenty of water, ice loolies are good.

dissle · 16/06/2007 17:04

oooh ice loolies nice!
Ta, think he will be ok.

Keep checking for a rash...am paranoid, any of you like that?

Of course - isn't paranoia key to motherhood?
