Flu jab or not?

Hi everyone, I'm 6 weeks pregnant tomorrow with my first after having IUI treatment and wondering whether I should have the flu jab? There's so many contradicting stories online I just can't decide what's best. Anyone got any thoughts? x

There may be contradictory stories on line, but there aren’t among HCPs.

Flu is a serious disease. It can kill, even the young and healthy. It makes the immune-compromised very ill and kills them in much greater numbers.

Pregnancy reduces immune function. Your call

Absolutely get it. I get it every year, including when pregnant last year. Pregnant women died from swine flu during that outbreak. I felt ten times more miserable with every cold when pregnant, and caught more than I would in a usual winter. The thought of flu...

And stay away from any of these places where you’ve found ‘contradictory’ information and get your information from verified reliable sources, like the NHS.

Yes definitely stay away from sights that don't back up their claims with research.

Flu is truly awful. If you'd ever had it you really wouldn't be debating whether to get vaccinated or not.
