Oral thrush not going

I’ve had oral thrush for about 6 weeks. Am very tired, a bit stressed and generally run down so put it down to that. Daktarin gel has done nothing. After 7 days of fluconazole it looked like it was getting better but hadn’t gone. I stopped that 5 days ago and it’s worse than ever. White tongue and very very sore.
I’m off to the drs again tomorrow to see what they suggest, but wondered if anyone had any jazzy ideas?

You poor thing. It's horrid. I get it every so often from medication, but nowhere near as extreme as yours. It usually clears up with Corsodyl. If not, I get Nystan drops. I use a tongue scraper before I use them. I'm not sure if that makes any difference.

I hope it clears up soon. Good luck with the GP Flowers

Thank you! I’ve had it before when I’m run down but the daktarin usually clears it up not a problem. I’ll get some corsodyl and a tongue scraper!

Stop the sugar and yeasty foods

I hope it helps Flowers it's the treatment Corsodyl rather than the everyday one. Some pharmacies also sell a cheaper own-brand version. It can stain your teeth, but I've never had a problem. It's more likely if you drink coffee or red wine whilst using it.
