DD has'nt pee'd for 24 hours and wont drink much

DD was diagnosed with tonsilitis on Thursday and give AB's. She was adamant she wanted to go on her pre-school trip yesterday and seemed better. But in the afternoon she started sneezing and got very tired. Also she refused to drink much all day and has'nt needed to pee.

I've made her every drink I can think of including coke and fruit shoots, hot chocolate - anything to get fluid in her. She just has a bit then refuses more. She's a very tired version of herself. I am so worried.

I'm currently waiting for my GP to call me back and see what he says.

Any ideas?

Can make your own with orange juice or some other alternative if you want to ensure she gets lots of goodness.

Nope - she's never been one for frozen desserts. She's 4 in September and only started having ice cream in the last couple of months

She did have a rfuit puree in one of those squeezy packs yesterday and has agreed to another one now, but it's still less than a pint in over 24 hours and no peeng yet

I know it sounds silly - but when babies are like this they feed them 5ml water in a syringe aver 5 or 10 mins. Can you get your DD to takes sips of something like this very frequently so you are gradually getting a little liquid into her constantly.
When you have a sore throat it feels worse when you haven't had a drink for a whiel - ie like first thing in the morning, so this may gradually ease the dryness - if you can persuade her.

Little monster - but relieved mummy, she announced she was off for a wee just as the phone rung!

The GP has put my mind at ease and I know DD's bits are working.

she is rather dehydrated as her wee did smell, but we'll be working on that.

I have prmoised her a trip to the library and shop for treats this afternoon is she drinks more for me. Bribbery and corruption I know
