Wisdom tooth pain - any dentists?

It's about half way down I think. I had pericoronitis sp last year but antibiotics cleared it up. The past few days it's been really hurting. Can it cause pain as it continues to grow down?

Do you mean it's coming through? If so yes, they hurt until they're all the way through.

It just seems so stop/start over yearssss

They do that. Mine took about 5 years to come through a bit at a time.
