Had a lovely day out yesterday with DS and friends. Had travelled north to watch the football and had had a few drinks. Had to get the tube across London. Laughing and joking as normal. We had to change at one point and DS and friend got on the tube before me and the door closed! Friend put his foot in the door and they opened again and I jumped on. We were laughing about me being left on the platform (lived in London for over 30 years so not worried about getting around on my own) but I suddenly couldn't breathe. My throat was closing and I started to panic. DS reached in my bag for my asthma pump but I knew it wasn't my asthma. I was gasping for breath and everyone on the tube was staring at me. It lasted about a minute and then everything was normal again. I do have anxiety and admittedly hate the tube, but I've never had anything like that happen to me before. My concern is I have quite severe allergies, years ago i nearly ended up with an epipen due to the reactions I was having. But surely an allergic reaction to something would have gone on a lot longer? So was this a panic attack or something else? Anyone had similar?
