Contraceptive implant

I've had my implant in for over 2 months now and my first period started nearly 4 weeks ago.. is that Normal? I just want to know if anyone else has had the same thing and if it stopped or if I need to go get it take out?

I bled for 6 months continuously - very dark almost black blood. It was horrible and the gp was very reluctant to remove it. I had to fight to get it removed. Apparently it’s a very rare reaction though

So when you had it removed did everything go back to normal for you?

Yes it did thank goodness.
