MRI hand hold

My MRI scan is scheduled for Saturday morning and I'm shitting it tbh. Not so much for the scan itself but what it will show.

I've had lower back pain for months, abdominal pain, pain deep inside my vagina and down my inner thighs,, pins needles in leg, alternating constipation and diarrhea. It hurts in my lower back to bend over.

DP thinks it's a slipped disc but there is no shooting pain.

I've had a smear in April that was clear and a pelvic ultrasound that showed cysts on my ovary. I'm really worried that it'll show something sinister.

Not sure how long I'll be waiting for the results but if there's something obviously there will I be told on the day?

Hi Pepper. If the doctors thought it was anything sinister then you would have been seen within 2 weeks, even if you have been try not to worry (easier said than done I know) as it's much more likely to be nothing serious than it is to be something to worry about.

Normally a couple of doctors need to go over the scan so chances are you may not get the results on Saturday, if you don't ask them how long until you get them.

The fact you've had a normal smear is a good sign

Let us know how you get on 😊
