I have been given this by the doctor to help with my sleep problems, headaches and also anxiety.

I have only taken it for 3 days, but have had headaches in afternoon and the morning when I wake up I am sleepy for quite a while.

Can anyone let me know if this is normal.

Thanks

I don't know about the headache side of things but i was given a low dose for IBS years ago. It did really knock me out in the mornings for a while but eventually I got used to it. It did really help with the IBS though.

I was given a low dose to help me perceive my pain levels differently (interesting theory) and help me sleep better with the pain at night. I found it made me too dopey in the mornings so gave up and have been prescribed something else in it's place. My consultant said it is a very useful drug for all sorts of problems, it's used for a whole range of things I believe.

thanks.

i seem to be getting more used to it as feeling less sleepy in the morning.
