Dd1 (3) fell over in town yesterday, she got back up and seemed fine but i have just got home from work and she is complaining that her leg hurts and is refusing to walk. Her knee does look swollen, she does tend to make a fuss (she once had a blister and refused to walk for 2 days) but the fact that it is swollen must mean she has done something to it.

Should i be taking her to the doctor or should i see how she is tommorrow?

yep. sounds like she's sprained/bashed/twisted something. doesn't sound too bad, but there's no reason why you shouldn't nip her to the gp in the morning to make you feel happier. s/he'll tell you whether to raise it/lower it/bandage it/icepack it.

If it's swollen I'd get it checked out.
Poor little thing.

But I know what you mean re making a fuss thing. DD1 scratched her head about a weekand a half ago. She noticed the scatch yesterdaya nd demanded a lot of kisses for it (which I love) and then said in that ohh woe is me voice 'Fletcher (our cat) scratch meeee, fletcher scratch', which he so didn't! She did it at kids club on holiday!
